Based & Operated
At Tarnos, we provide durable medical equipment to individuals and families across Central Florida. We serve seniors recovering from surgery, adults aging in place, and caregivers seeking reliable mobility and home safety solutions.
We approach every patient interaction with clinical precision and genuine care. We don't just deliver equipment — we match each individual with the right solution for their specific needs, ensure every delivery and setup is handled with professionalism, and follow up with ongoing maintenance and support so nothing falls through the cracks.
Make every patient feel supported from first conversation to long after delivery — guiding them to the right equipment and the independence they deserve.
Our biomedical engineering background and hands-on patient experience inform every recommendation we make — ensuring we select and deliver only the best equipment for each individual's needs.
Mobility and independence are essential to quality of life — we ensure every patient has the right equipment and support to live fully, recover successfully, and maintain the quality of life they deserve.
Founder & Biomedical Engineer
Jose Liscano, earned his BS in Biology from the University of Miami, where he shadowed orthopedic and oncology physicians and co-authored four scientific papers on neurological aging, mobility, and elderly independence. He then earned his MS in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University, specializing in human factors engineering, medical device user experience, FDA regulation, and entrepreneurship.
Jose founded Tarnos to bridge the gap between clinical science and the real patient experience — bringing engineering-level precision and genuine empathy to an industry that too often treats equipment as a transaction. His long-term vision is for Tarnos to become the most reliable partner families and facilities across Central Florida turn to when quality equipment and exceptional care matter most.
